On AI & Content
Ads entered ChatGPT. Honest content got more valuable.
In February 2026, OpenAI began showing ads inside ChatGPT — the first time advertising entered what felt like a “neutral answer.” Google, by contrast, said plainly it has no plans for ads in Gemini, framing them as a trust risk.
At the same time, AI is flooding the market with content: nearly half of this year's Super Bowl spots used generative AI, and Google's tools alone generated 70 million ad assets in a single quarter.
In an age of cheap content, honesty became the most expensive currency.
When everything becomes generated, automated, and samey, the only thing that sets you apart is authenticity: a real voice, real experience, owned content no one can copy. That's what customers trust — and what AI chooses to cite.
The lesson isn't to avoid AI — use it hard in production. But keep the core human: your story, your point of view, the angle only you can write.
